Approval to dismiss all employees of Pakistan Steel Mills, how much will be paid to each employee in return? ECC decides
ISLAMABAD: The federal government has taken a big decision to resolve the Pakistan Steel Mills crisis. The Economic Coordination Committee (ECC) has approved to send home all the employees working in the company. 250 employees will still be working to implement the plan. According to details, a meeting of the Economic Coordination Committee was held on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Finance Advisor Abdul Hafeez in which important steps including dismissal of Steel Mills employees were taken. C meeting approved supplementary grants of various departments, technical grant of Rs. 8 billion 84 crores for Western Border Management, this amount will be spent on improving the capacity of Civil Armed Forces while in the meeting for FBR A technical grant of Rs. 20 crores was also approved. 18 billion has been sanctioned for the employees of Pakistan Steel. The retiring employees will be given more or fewer Rs. 23 lakh each while 250 employees will continue to work for the implementation of the plan.
