Artificial crooked glasses enriched the Yemeni child with gifts

A picture of a child in Yemen wearing a pair of artificial twisted spectacles made of wire went viral on social media and a line of gifts was set up for him.

According to the Arab News Agency, Muhammad, a Yemeni child affected by the war, made a spectacle out of wires which he put on his eyes with dusty clothes and face.

The image went so viral on social media that even stone hearts became wax.

Abdullah al-Jaradi, a local journalist and photographer, took a picture of little Muhammad with stringed glasses and put it up for online auction.

Eid clothes and gifts abounded for the child and his family.

Not only that, but his spectacles were bought in an online auction by Osama al-Qusaybi, director general of Saudi Arabia’s anti-landmine program in Yemen, for 2.5 million Yemeni riyals, which amounts to more than 4,000 dollars.

According to the report, the child who changed his life through broken spectacles is currently living with his family in a refugee camp in the Marib governorate of eastern Yemen.
