Damascus: Syria has forced a total restriction on Eid al-Fitr supplication social occasions.

Syrian officials say Eid al-Fitr prayer gatherings will be banned in the country to prevent the spread of the global corona virus.

The Syrian Ministry of Religious Affairs has called for Eid petitions to be offered at home with relatives.

Prior, Eid supplication social occasions were prohibited in Turkey, Saudi Arabia, Algeria and Egypt.

The Saudi government has announced a 24-hour curfew in all cities from May 23 to May 27, while the Grand Mufti of Saudi Arabia says that in the current situation, Eid prayers can be offered at home.
