Further increase in the intensity of the hurricane in the Arabian Sea

KARACHI: The Meteorological Department has directed the fishermen not to go to sea till June 4 due to the intensification of the hurricane in the Arabian Sea.

According to the Meteorological Department, the intensity of the hurricane in the Arabian Sea has further increased and it is now moving towards the northeast which may cross the coast of South Gujarat, Maharashtra this evening.

The meteorological department said the wind speed at the center of the cyclone was 90 to 100 kilometers per hour.

The meteorological department said the storm was 970km from Karachi and posed no threat to any Pakistani coastal area.

The Meteorological Department has directed the fishermen not to go to sea till June 4 due to the intensification of the hurricane.
