ISLAMABAD: OGRA has sent a summary of new prices of petroleum products in which it was recommended to reduce the price of petrol by Rs 7.6 paise. OGRA has recommended an increase of 5 paise in the price of diesel. The new price of diesel is likely to be Rs 80.10.
The summary recommended a reduction in the price of petrol by Rs 7.6 per liter, the new price of petrol is likely to be Rs 74.52 per liter, the price of kerosene is likely to be reduced by Rs 11.88 per liter
The new price of K oil is likely to be Rs 35.56 paise, the price of light diesel is likely to be reduced by Rs 9.37 paise, the new price of light diesel is likely to be Rs 38.14 paise. The good news for the people is that the prices of petroleum products are likely to come down further. Sources said that the prices of petroleum products could be cheaper by Rs 10 to 12 per liter while the price of petrol is expected to fall by Rs 5 to 10 per liter.
A summary has been prepared by the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) with suggestions for adjusting the prices of petroleum products which will be sent to the Ministry of Finance. However, a reduction in the prices of petroleum products has been prepared. The final decision will be made by the Prime Minister himself. Economists say that Pakistan is one of the major oil importers.
