Karachi: Data of cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder of PIA plane that crashed in Model Colony has been successfully obtained.
A few days ago, a team of Airbus experts visited the crash site and collected evidence, where the experts also handed over the cockpit voice recorder of the plane to the Board of Inquiry into the plane crash.
According to sources, the cockpit voice recorder and flight data recorder data of the PIA aircraft have been successfully obtained which is being investigated on the recommendation of the Pakistani authorities.
Sources said that testing of the two main equipments of the aircraft will continue till this week.
According to sources, CVR and FDR data will help in the investigation, for which the two investigative agencies are working together.
It may be recalled that on May 22, a PIA flight from Lahore to Karachi crashed into a population during landing, killing 97 passengers, including eight crew members, while two passengers miraculously died. But were safe.
