Punjab government proposes to extend lock down till May 1

Consideration is also being given to conditional work permits in government offices and more export-oriented industries, a notification will be issued after the approval of the federal government.
Lockdown is currently underway across the country in view of the growing threat of Lahore Corona virus. In this regard, the Punjab government is considering extending the lockdown which will end tomorrow till May 1. Sources said that the Punjab government is also considering giving conditional permission to work in government offices and more industries related to exports while the proposal has been submitted to the federal government.
The notification will be issued after the approval of the federal government. In this regard, it was further stated that after the extension of the lockdown, the head of the department who will be allowed to work in the government offices will be required to bring together more than 3 persons from his administration. All safety measures should be ensured while more export-oriented industries will also be allowed to operate but they will have to ensure implementation of SOPs issued by the industry department.
In this regard, after the approval of the federal government, the lockdown will be extended, after which orders will be issued for the time to come. Keep in mind that the Corona virus, which is wreaking havoc around the world, is currently engulfing the entire world. Its devastation continues in Pakistan, after which the number of people infected with the corona virus in Pakistan has risen to more than 10,500, while 212 people have died from the corona virus. That is why the government is considering extending the lockdown.
