On the issue of sexual harassment of female students in a well-known private school in Lahore, Punjab government spokesman Musarat Jamshed said that those responsible for the incident would be made a role model.
Talking to Geo News, the Punjab government spokesman said that the matter would not be stopped only after the perpetrators of the incident were expelled from the school, adding that those who tried to suppress and cover up the matter would also be punished.
Musarat Jamshed said that we will make this incident a warning sign. Punjab Chief Minister Usman Bazdar himself is looking into this matter.
He said that parents also have a responsibility towards the students of the school and it is also important for the parents to train and take care of the students.
It may be recalled that students of a well-known English medium school in Ghalib Market, Lahore, alleged that their teacher used to stare at them in class and try to touch private parts, while the school accountant also asked them to spend the night together and refused. But also threatened.
According to the students, he informed his female teacher but she did not agree and insisted on remaining silent.
After the students’ complaints, the administration conducted an inquiry and fired four accused, including a class teacher. However, the school administration hid the matter from the police and did not inform them.
The director of the school said that the principal, administrator, and coordinator have also been suspended for sexually harassing the students. If the sacked employees are found guilty, further action will be taken.
