LAHORE: The district administration and police have sealed several shops in the markets for non-implementation of Corona SOPs.
Following the sharp rise in Corona cases in Punjab, the district administration and police in Lahore launched a joint operation.
District officials and police officers visited various markets to enforce the SOPs and sealed off shops that violated them.
During the operation, Assistant Commissioner City Raiwind sealed various shops in G-1 Market of Johar Town while 24 shops were sealed in Township Bazaar.
Assistant Commissioner City Tabriz Murree also took action in Hall Road, a well-known market for electronics and sealed 35 shops there for non-implementation of SOPs.
Besides, the Punjab government has also issued strict action instructions to the district administration and police to implement SOPs from Friday.
It should be noted that the government of Pakistan has also decided to impose fines on the minister for strict implementation of SOPs.
