The Prime Minister once again paid tribute to the frontline medical staff who fought against Corona

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Imran Khan has once again paid tributes to the doctors and medical staff who fought on the front line against Corona.

 Prime Minister Imran Khan in a statement said that the services of doctors and health care staff in the war against Corona are commendable and the entire nation pays tribute to them.

The Prime Minister said that in the past the health sector was neglected due to which the common man was facing difficulties in accessing quality healthcare facilities.

The Prime Minister said that the reforms in the health sector are aimed at improving the health facilities in the country and the reforms are also aimed at rectifying the shortcomings in the system.

He added that the task force for health sector reform would also consider a proposal for a hospital in Waziristan.

It may be recalled that two days ago, the Prime Minister had taken notice of the large number of doctors and paramedical staff who had fallen victim to corona and had also called for an emergency plan for their safety.

It should be noted that the number of corona cases in the country has surpassed that of China. So far, the total number of patients has reached 86,930 and the number of deaths is 1,790.
